The Rugby World Cup.
The Rugby World Cup is just a little over 2 moths away, Kicking off on 20th September, so I taught it was about time I take a look at who I think will take the web ellis cup home.
Let’s start by looking at the groups and how they are made up.

As you can see in group A you have Ireland, Scotland, host Japan, Russia and Samoa. Ireland are favourite to top this group but giving the run of form they had in the last Six Nations it might be hard then it looks. Scotland has shown they can show up on any day and upset your plans of winning as shown by drawing with England on the last day of the six nations. Japan has shown that they can beat one of the top team in the world when they defeated the South African team in the last world cup and the fact they are the host nation they will be no pushover. Russia and Samoa will give you a good game but the way they hit you will be lucky to get out of those games with no injuries.
In Group B you have a lot of peoples favourite to win the world cup, New Zealand. There is a lot to take into consideration first of all you have to look at Ireland beating last year in the November series in Ireland shown that they are human big and strong humans but humans non the less. In saying that the All Blacks did win the Rugby Championship last year and are facing into an other Championship in July and August this will give a lot of information on where the southern team are at. Also in group B is the Spring Bok bitter rivals of the All Blacks it will be a massive game when these to meet on the second day of the tournament. You can’t see Italy,Namibia or Canada giving the top 2 teams any trouble.
Pool C has England France and Argentina USA and Tonga. It is hard to look by England to come out on top. With players like the Vinipolas and Manu Tuilagi, they are a strong team. France are historically bad away from home. Argentina always showed up and preformed well in the world cup. USA and Tonga will be battling it out to finish bottom
Pool D has Australia, Wales, Georgia, Fiji and Uruguay. This is going come down to one game Wales v Australia and I think that Wales are coming good just at the right time but in saying that Australia dose have the Championship Cup to play so that will tell what sort of shape the lads from oz are in and has the on going trouble with Israel Folau.
My top four picks to win the world cup New Zealand, Ireland, England and Wales. For me I think Wales will be crowned champions this year but It is going to be one of the tightest world cups ever played which will mean nothing but good things for the sport of Rugby.
Teams are naming their extend squads to train for the world cup in the coming weeks. It will be interesting to see the teams and how they will be effected by the games left to play before the world cup. The southern hemisphere have the Rugby Championship and the most of the northern hemisphere will have at least 3 warmup games before the September.
Who do you think will win the World cup this year let me know in the comment section.
